Mikenzie was on flight 1549 on Tuesday from LGA to Charlotte. About 15 minutes out of LGA they had an engine problem that the pilot initially wanted to turn back for, but indicated a resolution. The issue shook the plane enough that the passengers knew something happened. The pilot indicated a compressor stall.
Cannot say if it was the exact same aircraft, but it was an A320 and it is at least a coincidence.
